EC Carpets wool: Elmsford and Cotswolds
Two 100% New Zealand wool loop piles now in the Southport conversation: one organic, one geometric.

Premium wool
Bremworth, EC Carpets and Prestige wool ranges you can see and feel, then have measured at home. Family owned since 1966.
This is not the whole carpet floor. The carpet page is the wider shortlist. This page is the wool we are asked to put side by side: New Zealand wool from Bremworth, wool loop piles from EC Carpets, and Prestige Carpets' Natural Textures. Nothing here is a price or a warranty. Those belong to the sample in front of you and the quote for your rooms.
Wool is what we recommend for bedrooms, living rooms and many stairs because it wears in and still looks like itself. It feels warm on a cool morning and it is a poor choice for a wet laundry. The longer version, without a laboratory number we will not stand behind, is why we use wool. How the yarn is finished — plush, twist or loop — is types of carpet.
Bremworth's collection carpets are 100% New Zealand wool. Four of them already have their own pages, with every colour we show. The others are on the racks; ask for them by name.

100% felted New Zealand wool, in 10 colours. A random loop with a soft hand. Our Currumbin Valley install used Galet Sage.

100% New Zealand wool, in 6 colours, with a tonal, organic texture. Shell, Honey, Toasted Rattan, Silvered Sky, Mineral and Carbon.

A premium chunky loop in 100% New Zealand wool, in 6 colours, on the showroom floor.

A chunky loop in 100% New Zealand wool, in 12 colours. The widest Bremworth colour count on this page.
Untouched. 100% New Zealand wool. Bremworth describes it as a modern take on traditional craftsmanship, with the emphasis on how it feels. The colours we hold in the catalogue are Calm, Placid, Restful and Hushed. There is no separate page yet — ask for it in Southport.
Lisburn. Bremworth's name for this one is Lisburn. It is 100% felted New Zealand wool: a chunky felted yarn with a finer yarn over it, so the surface reads as variegated rather than flat. Neutral colours. Sold through Bremworth Collection retailers, which is how we show it.
Transpire. 100% felted New Zealand wool, a chunky loop. Bremworth's felting gives the surface a shadow rather than a printed pattern. Colours in our catalogue: Emerge, Fascinate, Evolve and Intrigue.
EC Carpets makes wool in Australia. Two ranges we can show are pure New Zealand wool loop pile.
Elmsford is an offset, organic loop. The pattern shifts rather than repeating as a strict grid. Cotswolds is a geometric loop, more ordered on the floor. Both are 100% New Zealand wool. We will not repeat EC's wear guarantees or weights here — those sit on EC's own pages, and the useful test is the sample in your light. A short note on the two ranges is in wool stories.
Natural Textures is undyed New Zealand wool, hand loomed, with random tip shearing. Our catalogue describes the pile as about 13mm and lists heathered colours including Gibson, Kalgoorlie, Marble Bar, Oodnadatta, Simpson and Sturt. It is the textured, undyed end of the Prestige wool we keep, next to twists such as Antarctica when a stair needs a harder-wearing plain wool. That stair conversation is on stair runners.
Galet Sage is the wool in the Currumbin Valley living room at the top of this page, and in the bedrooms we published from the same house. More of the work is in the gallery. A photograph is not a colour match. Borrow the sample.
Short notes when a range is new or worth a closer look. The wool stories index is the full list. The latest are below.

No. This page is the edit we are asked about most. The showroom holds more ranges than we have put on the website. If you have a name or a photo, bring it in.
No. Price depends on the range, the metres and the floor underneath. Any warranty is the one that comes with that carpet, and we will talk it through against the sample rather than summarise it on a web page.
Sometimes. A very soft surface marks on the nose of a tread. We will say if a heavier twist, or a runner, is the better answer once we have measured the flight.
