About us
Family owned since 1966
Flooring in the family since 1966 — and a Gold Coast local for more than thirty years.
Our story
Sixty years in the trade, thirty on the Coast
It started in 1966 in Taree, where the Cross family ran a furniture and flooring store. In 1990 the next generation of the Cross family brought the trade to the Gold Coast, opening a flooring shop on Upton Street, Bundall — and it's been the same family business ever since, now at home in our Southport showroom just off Ferry Road.
Today the business is still run by the Cross family, and the things that matter haven't changed: the largest range of wool carpet on the Coast, our own installation team, and honest quotes — take-up, underlay, flooring and installation in one number, with no surprises. We specialise in natural flooring because we believe in materials that age well: wool that wears in rather than wearing out, genuine linoleum, sisal and timber.
It's a boutique way of doing things: a showroom where samples go home with you on loan, consultants who guide you from selection through to professional installation, and our own warehouse in Molendinar where every carpet is cut to measure before it's delivered to your door. If you're after something nobody else has, we design custom carpet and rugs too.
Come into the showroom, feel the difference between the ranges, and get advice from people who've spent their lives underfoot. Samples are available on loan, and every carpet is cut to measure at our Molendinar warehouse and delivered to your door.
